Winegrower Winegrower

A team of experienced professionals under the leadership of Mr. Rezo Pirashvili, founder of Tibaneli, ensures harvesting high quality grapes for our wines. Rezo Pirashvili’s ancestors settled in the village of Nukriani in the 16th century. From generation to generation, his family have passed down their devotion to winegrowing and the secrets of making excellent wine.

Rezo Pirashvili was born in the village of Nukriani, Signagi District in 1941. He worked in his vineyard from the age of 17. After graduating from the Agrarian University in 1966 he started working as a winegrower on a collective farm which had 300 hectares of vineyards. From 1971 till 1998 he managed various large state and collective farms which had hundreds of hectares of vineyards. At the end of the 1990s, collective farms ceased to exist in Georgia and Rezo Pirashvili and friends founded Tibaneli in 2000.
